Our Impact

Exiting foster care brings unique challenges—and every Junket member arrives with their own story. We partner with each young adult to define goals and map a personalized path forward, spanning education, employment, health, budgeting, relationships, and more. Every milestone reached builds confidence, self-worth, and readiness for what’s next.

Because the challenges we face are unconventional, our approach is too—highly personal, deeply supportive, and holistically focused. We measure success by the meaningful, lasting changes that ripple through our members’ lives.

When our members meet their goals, the impacts reverberate through their families, communities and the greater world beyond.

Employment and Housing

Who We Serve

After foster care, our members are offered housing through the New York Community Housing Authority (NYCHA). These placements can be in any neighborhood across the five boroughs. However, many of these areas face significant challenges, including lower life expectancy, limited access to healthy food options and median incomes well below what’s needed to survive (and, especially, thrive!) in NYC. Blue areas indicate where our members currently live. We’ve highlighted a few demographics to give a better picture of the direct NYCHA housing medians for comparison within the greater neighborhoods.
